Engy Wegdan is an Egyptian actress, women’s advocate, and a self-love promoter. An AUC Graduate, Engy worked as a video editor for Rotana TV, Dubai’s ElWaha Channel, and multiple advertising agencies. Engy skyrocketed her career as an actress in 2006 when she got her first role as Dalia in the hit comedy TV show Tamer and Shawkeya. Since
Engy Wegdan is an Egyptian actress, women’s advocate, and a self-love promoter. Engy skyrocketed her career as an actress in 2006 when she got her first role as Dalia in the hit comedy TV show Tamer and Shawkeya. Since then she played over 10 different characters in multiple films and TV series including; H Daboor, Teer Enta, Sameer we Shaheer we Baheer, Neeran Sadeeka, A Girl Named Zat, Saheb El Saada, Tele’t Rohy and many more. Engy was also the video editor for the EMMY award winner, and the nominee for the Academy Award for Best Documentary Feature at the 86th Academy Awards film, The Square. Wegdan is an avid advocate and ambassador for self-love, positive body image and women empowerment on Social Media.

Ahmed El Watidi is the Managing Director of Weego Productions, where he’s also one of its co-founders. For more than a decade, El Watidi, an American University in Cairo (AUC) graduate and an Engineer, excelled as supply chain management in various national and multinational corporations, like Nestlé, Unilever, Siemens, Citadel Capital and other national companies. An avid patron of filmmaking and the arts, El Watidi made the career shift where he transferred all of his rich and extensive knowledge in management, strategic planning and product development into film/TV production. This shift emerged from his belief that film/TV making are necessary in a thriving society, and for that he joined forces with prominent actress Engy Wegdan to launch Weego Productions.
Salma Zohdi - Dramaturg
Salma S. Zohdi is an Egyptian Dramaturg based in New York City. In Egypt, Salma was Alumni Community Theatre’s (ACT) Public Relations and Marketing Manager, where she also worked as a producer, teaching artist, stage manager, and assistant director. Salma was also the AD for the feature film El Kobar. Salma relocated to the U.S. in 2013 to pursue a career in theatre where she got her MFA from Columbia University in 2016. Since graduating, Salma’s theatre credits include: The Mecca Tales, The Yacoubian Building, Operating Systems, Mix & Match, The Conversationalists, Pilgrims Musa & Sheri in the New World, Global Forms Theatre Festival (GFTF), and Google It’s Complicated! MA: AUC - English & Comparative Literature. MFA: Columbia University - Theatre (Dramaturgy).
